Let's just say this, staples are a must in a deck (er..maybe Waboku) I'm going to get straight to the point....I'm not a very good person at spending all my money on cards.  Metal Raiders, where you find Mirror Force and other good cards are really hard to find. Some ppl may not have a really good deck with all the cards other people recommend. Try other cards like.....I know this is crazy but if you put forth the effort, Trap Hole from the starter decks can be very powerful. Run 3 in a deck full of protective magics and traps and beatdown monsters and your opponent will be worrying about his next move.  You're probably wondering about how nobody ever runs effective decks without effects  and cards that will counter, don't worry, as you're thinking, nobody runs cards now that will designate Trap Hole now.
    Now to Waboku, which reads:
''Any damage inflicted by an opponent's is decreased to 0 during the turn this card is activated''.
This can help in many tight situations. It's a normal trap, and it's only a few words to read, which makes it very easy to understand.  But there's so much controversy, yea, Waboku can counter ''Harpie's Feather Duster'' and all, but that's not the main reason it was actually made.  Don't got the cards you really need?  Waboku can be a vital card if used correctly.  Let the small attacks go by (but a rerall duelist should never do that) It's all about strategy.  That's a free ticket to the next turn and to unleash a counterattack.  Well, not too give too much info, those are the basics on these cards.

Well, here's today's beginner staple cards: Opticlops (ATK:1800 DEF: 1600) and La Jinn (ATK: 1800 DEF:1000) These are probably the most well know beatdown monsters.  With that ATK. only monsters (4 stars only) that can beat it on a one-on-one battle is Gagagigo, Gemini Elf, and Terrorking Archfiend (from Dark Crisis), etc. You can easily put them in any deck thats supports them, may I say more?
Let's go more advanced: ''Harpie's Feather Duster''
''Destroys all your opponents Magic and Trap Cards on the field''
Whoa...It's way better than Heavy Storm, which destroys all magic and traps.  It's a magic card that's hard to get, and also it's restricted to one....the best way to use that card is if you know what magic and trap cards are waiting for you and if you use it by itself, beware of counter cards, especially Magic Drain.  Yes, it counters Waboku, which is a good way of clearing out theitr last line of defense.  This card also haunts youer opponent of putting his best m/t cards on the field, leaving some other card like Card Destruction to come through.  Also, with working with this card, you have to know it's weaknesses and learn how to overcome them, and you never know if someone will use this card on you. So, tune in to the next update to learn about more cards

On this update, the one and only shamangoku04 will tell you some samples of his favorite non-staple cards.  One of them that's never gonna be a staple is ''Des Koala'':
3 stars/beast,effect/ATK:1100/DEF:1800
..::FLIP:Inflict 400 points of Direct Damage to your opponent's Life Points for each card in your opponent's hand::..
Let me see, if used right, this monster card could do serious damage
